Our Offering - Salacia
Atom to Organ / Organism (
) is an interesting evolution whose end product is governed by DNA, Genes and proteins. However as organs
begin to mature they have a tendency to get affected by multi-factorial / polygenic () disease like Cancer, Obesity, Diabetes
etc. While we have human life, we also have trees whose one of the offerings are molecules/ compounds that can help to address these multi-factorial disease(s). One such offering is Salacia ( Family: Celastraceae, Indian Name: Ekanayakam / Saptachakra ) which is
a woody climber naturally found in tropical region. We do also refer to it as “the world of 7 rings”.
With a 8 year cultivation history (Our Fields) of Salacia along Western Ghats, current plantation and new plantation(s) coming up in near future has brought us to a point where the offerings from our fields can be made available to the industry. The first of our offering
are decoction(s) of Salacia.
