An aqueous extract of Kokum fruits, it is free from any salt, additives, preservatives, thickeners, artificial colors, artificial flavors with it's natural flavor and taste intact. Known in Ayurveda for being useful to ease acidity and improve digestion, it can be consumed in one glass of water with 2 to 3 tablespoons of concentrate. Ways to consume
The nutraceutical property of a fruit is determined by the metabolites like carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins and minerals and also the secondary metabolites such as phenols and flavonoids. In this regard,1. Kokum has a high nutraceutical value and contains a key organic acid i.e. hydroxycitric acid (HCA).
2. It does not contain cholesterol or saturated fats.
3. It is low in calories and rich in dietary fibres.
4. Garcinol is the major active ingredient of Kokum and it has antioxidant, antibacterial, anti-carcinogenic and anti-inflammatory properties.
5. It is an excellent cardiotonic ( i.e. strengthens the cardiovascular system while keeping heart healthy ) and does also safeguard the liver.
Note :
1. It is a popular summer drink in Konkan region of India from decades. We do not crush or squeeze or boil pulp to increase juice volume. Our method of juice extraction is sunlight driven and it is the only method to extract juice which helps to achieve medicinal efficacy.
